Curious Christopher

Christopher, Dead Dog & Me

I bought a new book! Okay okay, it’s not exactly new, it’s a book called ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time’ by Mark Haddon. Check here for a little preview. 😀

I decided to buy that book over the others because of my younger brother. Since he could read ‘One More Day’ and ‘Five People You Meet in Heaven’ by Mitch Albom, he could probably read and understand this too, although I’m not too sure he understands what being autistic is like.

I won’t attempt to write a brilliant review on it, so I’ll just briefly convey what I felt about the book. 🙂 The book deserved the Whitbread Award for the author’s convincing and very well-researched case on autism as he wrote in the perspective of a 15 year old autistic boy called Christopher. I personally liked it simply because it was something new – The storyline, the writing, the unusual and colorful characters, they were all refreshing.

Then again, Janet Evanovich’s 13th Stephanie Plum book is out and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. If only it was cheaper… 😦 RM69 pulaaaak.

In Progress

Inquisitive Balloon

Today started out as a slow morning, coupled with a slight drizzle throughout the whole day with rain pouring every now and then. I was slow, inefficient and L-E-T-H-A-R-G-I-C…. *groans*

On another note, I can’t wait for my aunt to start moving into her new house! Landed property! What are the odds of her buying landed property! She’s still busy furnishing the house, from her bed, the kitchen hood, her bathroom to her garden. I’ll have to start thinking of a housewarming gift! (I’m thinking along the lines of a painting or a decorative piece of some sort)

Till then, I’ll slog over work and post up some works now and then. 🙂 “Here’s lookin’ at ya!” says the Green Balloon!
